In late April I took the hour flight to San Francisco to attend the NOTED Greeting Card Expo. It was also in the same venue as the SF Now Gift Show. I met my friend, Amy Frazer, there to assist her in her booth. Amy was debuting her stationery line, Keller Design Co. It was an exciting time for her after many months of developing her line and prepping for the show.
I flew in, dropped off my stuff at the hotel and met her in the booth. With the help of another friend we got the booth set up.
After several hours we finished the booth and Amy had tons of amazing compliments from many who walked by and visited.
The first night we attended the Louie Awards ceremony. The louie Awards is a prestigious award for greeting card companies. It was held in a different building in the Fort Mason center during the most amazing pink sunset on the marina outside the venue. At the event we met up Katie Hunt of Proof to Product and met other exhibitors at the show. The community is so welcoming and everyone is very supportive of one another. I walked the floor and met so many inspiring business owners. Their creativity and passion for their work was eminent. I really enjoyed meeting everyone and seeing their amazing lines.
The show went on for two full days. While I was there I was able to visit the booth of one of my clients, Niquea.d. I have designed several greeting cards, gift bags and stationery items for them and was able to see some of the samples for the first time and meet the client in person. I was thrilled to locate the items!
I was so happy for Amy and to be there experiencing this special event with her. She has worked so hard to get here. I left the show feeling inspired and motivated to go big with my business.
